Antiques are the carriers of history, bearing witness to the changes of time. They guide us into the tunnel of time, uncovering the stories of days gone by. To Kwa Wan, as an ageing community, is more like a treasure trove, harbouring a wealth of cherished antiques.

Nestled within an industrial building in To Kwa Wan, ‘Jiksap’ is a renowned antique emporium in the locale. Besides merely connecting old objects with new owners, Jiksap nurtures a comprehensive appreciation of antiques. It encourages the public to delve into their historical origins and narratives and to reconsider the significance of antiques in the context of the modern day. Coinciding with ‘BODW City Programme (CityProg) 2023’, Jiksap aspires to unearth the value and stories behind old objects and infuse them with modern innovation. This initiative seeks to foster a deeper appreciation for our existing resources and explore avenues for sustainable development. Collaborating with various groups in To Kwa Wan, Jiksap will engage in a series of workshops, exhibition, screening and sharing sessions, bridging the ‘old’ and the ‘new’, and collectively explore and shape a concept rooted in diversity and sustainability.

About Partner

Jiksap

Jiksap collects items that carry stories from the past. We believe in designs that age well with time and appreciate the traces of living that these items bear. Through reimagining their possibilities, we hope to connect them with new owners and redefine them beyond their age.
