‘Discovering the Old in the New’ Film Screening and Post-Screening Talk

Organised by Jiksap

New film brings back nostalgic feelings, while old films showcase new creativity. Jiksap will collaborate with Film Culture Centre to screen two local films, demonstrating the contrast between the old and new aspects of the city and leading the audience into different eras. Following ‘Uncovering the New in the Old’ Film Screening and Post-Screening Talk, we will continue the series with the screening of another film: ‘The Narrow Road," released in 2022. Besides, we will be hosting a post-screening discussion session, where we have the pleasure of inviting Lam Sum, the director of ‘The Narrow Road’, to join us. Lam Sum will share his insights on why he chose Mok Cheong Street in To Kwa Wan as the primary location for the film and engage in a collective exploration of how the movie portrays the interplay between old and new concepts.
