Community Mini Theatre: Touring Around To Kwa Wan

Organised by Kowloon City in Transformation – Kowloon City Themed Walking Trail

To Kwa Wan is a magical place. There are 13 streets having an auspicious name filled with car garages and an island which feels like Cheung Chau. It used to be a popular destination for local travel. There are more and more collective memories and stories. Have you ever been there before?

Co-organised with Rolling Books, our featured event “Community Mini Theatre: Touring Around To Kwa Wan” is now in Hung Hom! We have designed a theatre performance based on the stories of two picture books, “The Vehicle Hospital” and “The Story of Hoi Sham”. Presented by our funny clown combo, participants can get to know more about To Kwa Wan and the interesting stories behind the community in a humorous and playful way.

The activity is free of charge (Registration in advance is required). Parents and children are welcome!

Kowloon City in Transformation – Kowloon City Themed Walking Trail

“Kowloon City in Transformation – Kowloon City Themed Walking Trail" is a project organised by the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council Limited and funded by the Urban Renewal Fund. We aim to preserve the local cultural heritages by connecting the residents of the old Kowloon City area, To Kwa Wan and Hung Hom and invite the public to reimagine the public spaces to jointly write a new page of Kowloon City history.
